Montessori Environments

Community

Workshop I and II

(6–12 years old)

During this stage, children show deep curiosity, imagination, and a desire to understand the world.

They work in small mixed-age groups, developing projects that stimulate reasoning, research, and creativity.

The learning areas are integrated in an interdisciplinary manner: geography, biology, history, language, mathematics, science, music, and artistic expression. The experience is enriched with activities organized by the children themselves, including community outings that reinforce practical learning.

This approach fosters a sense of belonging to humanity and awakens the natural desire to contribute positively to the world.

In Montessori Universe we divide this environment into:

  • Workshop I (ages 6–9)
  • Workshop II (ages 9–12)
